Our organization is dedicated to creating a safer, more equitable, and empowered future for women through three core areas of focus: Safe Migration and Human Trafficking Prevention, Gender-Based Violence and Women’s Rights, and Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment.
In the realm of Safe Migration and Human Trafficking Prevention, we work tirelessly to promote safe migration practices for women seeking employment abroad. We rescue and rehabilitate women who have fallen victim to human trafficking, providing immediate support to those arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in distress. Collaborating closely with the Nepal Police Human Trafficking Bureau, we combat human trafficking by establishing a network of safe houses for rescued women and raising awareness about the risks of unsafe migration. We also provide legal assistance to women who have faced exploitation abroad, work with embassies to ensure their safe repatriation, and operate a 24/7 helpline for migration-related support. Additionally, we conduct workshops on safe migration in rural and low-income communities to empower women with knowledge and resources.
Under Gender-Based Violence and Women’s Rights, we offer counseling and psychological support to survivors of gender-based violence, advocating for policies that protect women’s rights and prevent such violence. We create awareness about the physical and mental health impacts of gender-based violence and establish support groups for survivors. By collaborating with local communities, we challenge harmful gender norms and stereotypes while providing emergency shelter and resources for women escaping abusive situations. We train community leaders and volunteers to identify and address gender-based violence and conduct workshops on women’s rights and gender equality in schools and communities. Our efforts also include advocating for the implementation of laws that protect women from exploitation and violence, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for women to share their experiences and seek help.
In the area of Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment, we empower women to achieve financial independence through entrepreneurship training, skill development programs, and financial literacy workshops. We provide seed funding and microloans to help women start their own small businesses and establish mentorship programs connecting them with successful entrepreneurs. By creating market linkages for products made by women in our programs, we ensure their economic growth. We also conduct vocational training tailored to the needs of low-income women, celebrate their success stories,
and expand our programs to reach more women in rural and underserved areas, breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering sustainable change.
