WELCOME TO AMRITSAR SOCIAL ORGANIZATION
A three-day awareness program on reducing gender-based violence and human trafficking was successfully conducted across five wards in Thulung Rural Municipality, Solukhumbu, Nepal, reaching all nine wards. With 100 women attending each seminar, the program focused on educating participants about the growing prevalence of gender-based violence, Nepal’s legal protections for women, and essential training on safe migration and precautions for traveling abroad. The outstanding presence and active participation of women highlighted the community’s commitment to creating a safer and more informed society.
An impactful awareness program on reducing gender-based violence (GBV) and human trafficking was successfully conducted in Kakani Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, Nepal from 23 feb 2023 to 23 march 2023. Organized by Amritsar Social Organization, with support from the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizen and Kakani Rural Municipality, the program reached all 8 wards of the municipality. Over the course of 3 days in each ward, 100 women per seminar actively participated, totaling 800 women across the region. The sessions focused on educating women about the growing yet often unnoticed issue of GBV, the legal protections available under Nepali law, and the importance of safe migration practices, particularly for those traveling to Arab countries .
Since 2021, the Amritsar Social Organization has been running a safe house for women rescued from foreign countries after facing physical and mental torture or violence abroad. Providing a secure and nurturing environment entirely free of cost, our organization has supported over 2000 survivors to date, helping them heal and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope

Through our collaborative efforts with the Nepal Police Human Trafficking Bureau, embassies of various countries, and other stakeholders, we work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate these women into society…..

Today, I want to share our journey, our mission, and our vision for the future.
At Amritsar Social Organization, we believe that every woman deserves to live with dignity, free from violence and exploitation. Our work focuses on three core areas: safe migration, gender-based violence, and economic empowerment. We have witnessed firsthand the struggles of women who migrate to foreign countries, especially in the Arab region, where many face physical and mental abuse, exploitation, and unsafe working conditions.

Hello Namaste Everyone, I am honored to serve as the Program Director of Amritsar Social Organization, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a safer, more equitable world for vulnerable individuals, especially women. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves dignity, safety, and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
One of our primary focuses is on safe migration, particularly for women who face physical and mental challenges in foreign countries. We understand the risks and vulnerabilities that come with migration, and we are committed to providing support, resources, and advocacy to ensure their safety and well-being.
In addition to our work on safe migration, we run programs addressing gender-based violence, offering survivors the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives.
