From the Chairman Desk :

Chairman's message

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Well-Wishers,
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I address you as the Chairman of Amritsar Social Organization. Over the past five years, our organization has been dedicated to creating a safer, more equitable world for women, particularly those from low-income backgrounds who face unimaginable challenges. Today, I want to share our journey, our mission, and our vision for the future.

At Amritsar Social Organization, we believe that every woman deserves to live with dignity, free from violence and exploitation. Our work focuses on three core areas: safe migration, gender-based violence, and economic empowerment. We have witnessed firsthand the struggles of women who migrate to foreign countries, especially in the Arab region, where many face physical and mental abuse, exploitation, and unsafe working conditions. These women often return home broken, both physically and emotionally.

This is where we step in. Through our Safe Migration Program, we identify vulnerable women at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal and bring them to our Safe House. Here, they receive immediate care, counseling, and emotional support. Our team works tirelessly to help them heal and rebuild their lives.

But our support doesn’t stop there. We believe in empowering women to take control of their

futures. Through our Entrepreneurship Program, we provide women with the skills, resources, and mentorship they need to start their own businesses and achieve financial independence. This program has already transformed the lives of countless women, enabling them to break free from the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves and their families.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our partners, including the Nepal Police Human Trafficking Bureau and the embassies of various countries. Their collaboration has been instrumental in our efforts to combat human trafficking and ensure the safe return of women who have been exploited abroad.
As we look to the future, our commitment to female rights and gender equality remains stronger than ever. We will continue to advocate for systemic change, raise awareness about the challenges women face, and work towards a society where every woman is respected, protected, and given equal opportunities to succeed.

I am deeply grateful to our team, volunteers, donors, and supporters for standing with us in this mission. Together, we have made a difference, but there is still much work to be done. I invite you to join us in our efforts to

create a world where every woman can live with dignity, safety, and freedom.

Thank you for your continued support and belief in our vision.
Warm regards,
Jamuna giri
